Mission Partnerships - Month 39 - # 1 - Blog Banner.jpg

COVID-19 had a dramatic impact on the world, where millions lost their jobs, and many struggled to keep a roof over their heads. Yet, while stimulus payments were introduced to ease the burden on families, the marginalized were still left wondering where their next meal would come from.

Consequently, in September 2020, Mission Partnerships was formed by professional fundraisers as a community outreach program in Texas. As a result, we managed to make a significant difference in our local community in a short space of time. Some of our big wins include:

a. Advocating in twenty-six counties in Dallas, Fort Worth Metropolitan Areas.

b. Reaching over 180,000 neighbors by engaging face to face with them in communities.

c. Organizing over 114 Community Outreach Events for our local food banks.

d. Creating 11.1 million meals to go back into our local communities.

e. Engaging in monthly volunteer opportunities to support our local communities.

We are proud of the milestones we achieved in the first six months of launching as they fit with our mission of fighting hunger and poverty while providing greater access to education.

Consequently, we received more than fifty 5-star reviews from our local neighbors who supported our daily philanthropic work. Here are a few examples of the reviews which highlight our core values of responsiveness, quality, and professionalism.

1. Positive impact
“This hit home for me today. Before joining the Army, my family depended on the Fort Worth-based food bank for meals to help feed our family. It meant the world to me to be able to speak with these individuals today, and I highly recommend that everyone just stop and talk with them when you see them! You just might make an impact that you are unaware of,” stated Lee Brown.

2. Passion and Enthusiasm
“Kaitlin is manning the NTFB kiosk at Town East Mall. I already donated monthly to the NTFB, but Kaitlin’s enthusiasm and passion for her work made me realize I needed to up my monthly donation. I love what the NTFB is doing. It’s very important work, and Kaitlin is a phenomenal representative of the organization. Go see her and donate!!!” said Alan DeCamp.

3. Amazing feeling
“I came upon Allison with Tarrant Food Bank, and she was so happy and full of joy to do something for the community. It’s amazing to see this in the world we live in today. And I decided to donate 125 meals monthly to those who are less fortunate and provide for the

world and make a small impact! It was a great and positive feeling to know I’m helping make a difference,” ❤️ remarked D. Lashae Davis.

4. Changing the world
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has,” she meant that every cultural change, no matter how widespread, must begin with a few individuals. Our work at Mission Partnerships does this on a daily basis,” stated Margaret Mead.

Positive feedback like this lets us know that we are on the right path. However, if we were to rate our own performance, it would be 4.5 out of 5 as there is plenty of room for improvement, collaboration, and development in the future.

Therefore, in the next few years, our goal at Mission Partnerships is to grow our philanthropic management model and expand into all fifty states in the USA.

In this endeavor, we will continue to support nationwide networks of more than two hundred food banks. In addition, it will help to feed more than forty-six million people through food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other community-based agencies.

Besides, we aim to continue to share our time voluntarily and create fundraising events and charitable promotions. We also have plans to become ambassadors for good causes by sponsoring events and donating a percentage of profits to charity.

So far, we have expanded our philanthropic management model into Houston, Orange County, St. Louis, Austin, Louisiana, and Chicago and are looking for partners to help us grow locally and internationally.
